Meursault - 2007 Demo

Phil was a friend of mine on soulseek. He used to send around some covers he made and recieved pretty good feedback. He went on to start a band and this is it. Meursault is a folk-punk band from Germany. This is a personal favorite of mine. The closing track is a cover of "Whiskey" by Rosa. I'm not too sure if they ever went on to make anything after this because he never sent me anything else but as far as I know, this project is now defunct.

Bells on Trike - 10"

Very good album, another must have. This band didn't stick around for too long but this album is in my opinion one of the best of it's genre.

Settlefish - Oh Dear!

Pardon the low quality of recording, but this album is really a must have.

"Settlefish is a five-piece indie rock band that resides in Bologna, Italy. Its members are Emilio Torreggiani (guitar), Bruno Germano (guitar, vocals), Paul Pieretto (bass), Federico Oppi (drums), and canadian-born Jonathan Clancy (vocals, guitar, synth)."

Very good stuff.

Titus Andronicus - The Airing Of Grievances

Titus Andronicus is an indie rock band from Glen Rock, New Jersey. The Airing of Grievances was among Pitchforks top 25 albums of 2008. This bands live show is nothing short of amazing and they're pretty nice guys. This is just one of those albums that you can actually listen to from start to finish.

Mother Mother - O My Heart

This has been out for a long time, it's definitely an album that everyone should have though so I'm uploading it. Just started going through my indie records the other day and found this one and remembered how great it was. Haven't been able to stop listening since.

Last.fm said, "Mother Mother is a band from Vancouver, Canada. In January of 2005, singer and guitarist Ryan Guldemond recruited his older sister Molly and college chum Debra-Jean Creelman to sing harmonies on a stock of original material. The three performed as an acoustic trio for some time before recruiting Kenton Loewen on drums and Jeremy Page on bass, turning Mother Mother into a five piece band."

You won't regret having this album, very high pitched vocals will lead you to continuously confusing the guys from the girls etc. Okay maybe not all the time, but sometimes.

I'll give you a few songs to check out before downloading, all of the songs are worth hearing though.
