Tussin

Members of Rainbow Tornado. This band has broken up as well but this is by far the best music that this group of people put out. I meant to post this a few months ago, don't know why I didn't. It's really good though.

Demo

Snakeosaurus Rex - Rhino

Probably a slightly more feminine post of mine. This is a very good band and this is a very good album. I've got a feeling this is going to be asked to be taken down soon though.

Deers!

DEERS! are a screamo band from California. Without a doubt one of the better screamo bands I've listened to recently. You'll like this.

Zona Mexicana

If you don't know about Zona Mexicana yet you're missing out. These guys are really good. When I say really, I mean it. Basically an indie-rock/screamo esque type of deal.

3 song EP

Cowboys Aren't Indians

Gettin' my emo on. Cowboys Aren't Indians are a band out of Utah that formed in 2004 then broke up, and rumors say they're going to get back together in 2010. I hope so, they're good.

Park Ranger Barkwood

"Park Ranger Barkwood is not a new band from Orlando, Florida that consists of only two members, Cody Barker and Phil Wattwood. They play east coast style jamz on instruments that neither member really knows how to play. That explains why they sound the way they do."

No input from me, I'm too lazy to come up with my own opinion today.

Noyes

"Victor Villareal (of Cap'n Jazz) and Ryan Rhapsys combined forces to form Noyes. So far, there is only one EP which was released on Six Gun Lover records in 2003. According to Noyes’ Myspace site, Victor is working on new material for the first time in years. Birds and Marbles is a new track that is streaming on the aforementioned site. Expanding on his work with the Owls and Ghosts and Vodka, Noyes is more melodic and no less innovative than the rest of Victor’s catalog."

Very good stuff, with the tuning and all, it's very listenable.

Thousandaires - Land Seal Demo

Thousandaires is a side project from Brooklyn with members from Bridge and Tunnel, Get Bent and Halo Fauna. Those three bands are pretty sweet so if you don't know of them, go check them out. This is just three songs but fuck it's so good. I really hope this turns into something bigger than a side project.

Piglet - Lava Land

A three-piece instrumental band from Chicago, most of you probably already know of Piglet. I'm posting them anyways though.

Lava Land

Wolverines/Sibling Project Split

I was really into this two years ago and recently found it again. Needless to say, I got into it again. Wolverines was a screamo band out of North Carolina. They're really melodic and most importantly, pretty fucking good. The Sibling Project were a duo (obviously siblings) that played great indie pop. Both sides of this split are pretty solid.

Midwest Pen Pals

Midwest Pen Pals are a band out of Indiana. They're good and you should definitely check them out if you like that Algernon Cadwalladerish feel. Plus they gave out their EP for free, which is a plus.

Inside Jokes EP

My Heart To Joy

My Heart To Joy is a band from Connecticut. They were a really good screamo band under the name My Heart To Joy At The Same Tone but now with their name change (obviously just an abridged version of the mouthful) they take a step in a new direction. They're an indie/emo band now and they're still good.

About A Million

About A Million is Pirouette's Scotty Leitch's brother. I had the pleasure of talking with this guy (Anthony) and he's one of the coolest guys I've ever talked to. In fact, he read a haiku I wrote a while ago, turned it into a song, and then sent it to me and it ended up be really good as well. About A Million can be categorized as folk/indie-rock. It's really really good and I urge you to check it out.

Tenebre - In Everything Give Thanks

Last.fm said Tenebre was, "a post/math rock from the US.
Taking their cues from 33.3, Don Caballero and Owls, the instrumental trio Tenebre have established themselves in the movement of San Francisco post-punk spearheaded by bands such as Deerhoof and The Aislers Set."

Nice fairly mellow instrumentals, real cool stuff. Check it out.

Chalk Talk is a duo from Massachusetts/Connecticut. This is just two songs but holy shit it's so sweet. I've been listening to this nonstop and am really looking forward to more from these guys.

Pennines

Pennines is a 4-piece math rock group from the UK. They uploaded some of their stuff on their myspace making this one quite easy. They're really a great band though. Some have said that they're basically American Football with a better vocalist. Don't know if I agree but still, someone said it. A little trivia, everything is upside down in the UK.

Ricky Fitts - Wizard Lisp

"Ricky Fitts were an emotional indie/hardcore band from Wichita, Kansas. The band existed from 2002-2006. The band put out two seven-inches and a full-length record before their untimely break up in 2006. The band’s amazing 2005 record, Wizard Lisp, should not be missed. It is top-notch stuff in this genre…powerful and incredibly moving."

For those a few steps behind, Algernon Cadwallader is a trio from Philadelphia. Some people think they're a Cap'n Jazz ripoff. I don't believe that at all but to each his own. Don't pass up on them though, they're truly one of the best bands around today.

Grown Ups - Songs

Michigan City’s Grown Ups feature former members of Lion of the North, the sound falls somewhere between emo and pop-punk.

I'd been looking for this band for a while and had no luck, they're really good. Thanks to friends for giving it to me.
