Brilliant. There really is no other way to describe this band. They kind of came out of nowhere but it's really good. I never had looked for it but had the sudden urge to listen to Pretend so I found it. Some of their songs length out to be around 12 minutes or so but it's not one of the annoying 12 minute songs it's the songs where you're like, "wow, that was a long song but I'll let it slide because it was good." It's cool. Enjoy.

Bones in the Soil, Rust in the Oil
It looks like the players aren't working again so get a sample from their myspace.

Spread Sheets told me these guys were similar to Chalk Talk. lied to me but this is still really fucking good. I asked around and got a few songs sent to me. "He Doesn't Even Play Guitar" cuts off short and there are two versions of "Chicks And Shit" on here but I still feel the need to post this. If you happen to have more of this please send it this way!

I used to be really into their Ruines Humaines EP a couple of years ago. Remembered they existed yesterday and started getting back into it. says they're a black metal/post punk band. They have female vocals from time to time. I haven't really listened to the full length just yet so not too sure if it's too different. Haven't really gotten a full listen of the full length just yet but so far so good. They broke up sometime this year

Mister Metaphor

This was a request. Mister Metaphor is a four piece band out of
Sacramento, California. Yet again, not much I really know about this band. They play some pretty tight math rock.

Sweet, another sweet screamo band out of Montclair, NJ. Can't say I really know much about these guys other than the fact that they're a five piece screamo band out of NJ and that their name is Pioneers.

Mother Was Not A Person

"Born out of suburban youth in Montclair, NJ, the five members of Mother Was Not a Person struggled living the punk lifestyle and getting sent off on religious retreats. Brought together by a mutual dislike for their parents and high school, bound together in blood." - Last.Fm

Seeing these dudes play on October 16th with Chalk Talk, Mouse Folk, Zona Mexicana, Aviary and Deer Friends. If you live in the area (Northern New Jersey) be sure to come out. Here is some show info

Little Lungs

You haven't seen much of me lately. I've been pretty busy with school and other stuff. Anyways to make up for it I bring you Little Lungs. Although I'm sure most of you already have this or have heard and liked it or disliked it, I am a fan. A very catchy indie rock style fronted by a female, which typically I'm not a fan of (because I'm extremely sexist, not really) though in this case it's awesome. Enjoy.
