Twin Shadow
Jasper Lewis in the Swimming Hole
So typically I'm not the kind of guy that likes to plug his own music, in fact I've sort of fought myself doing it with Gio's and my project and seeing how his and my project isn't complete yet I figured I'd post some stuff I have completed and am pretty stoked about. Jasper Lewis in the Swimming Hole is a project I made heavily influenced by artists out such as Wild Nothing, Twin Shadow, The Smiths, The Cure and many others. Although this is kind of out of the norm for this blog I figured I'd self promote to some extent. These are the two tracks I've made for this project called Hello Heartbreak and Summer Vs. Winter. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy it and don't think this is all I'm going to blog about today.

Guidelines
Guidelines are a screamo band from Montclair, New Jersey. They just released their EP and it fucking shreds. Shit is pretty incredible. Fresh sound, great lyrics. Download this and listen to it immediately. I'll post a link to their lyrics so you can...you know...sing along in front of your computer.

Nothing
This was posted on VLV not too long ago. This is pretty incredible. Not that into shoegaze but this really has me hooked. I wish I could say more but I really don't know anything about these guys. I think they're from Philly? Check it out.

Baby Pilot
Baby Pilot is a band out of Montclair, NJ. This REALLY reminds me of Modest Mouse but mixed in with a ton of other shit. They definitely have their own sound and I'm really into it. Don't pass on this.

This is Punch's latest LP Push Pull. I'm only a few songs into it but so far it's killer. Get into it.

Antipilon
Antipilon are two dudes. Tyler lives in Seattle, Washington and Tanner lives in Huntington Beach, California. I don't know much about this. Some dude sent it to me and I really like it. It's acoustic screamo. I know that rarely works out but these guys nailed it. Get into it.

Synchronized Headaches
I've been debating whether or not I should post this but whatever, there's got to be at least someone who will appreciate this. This was my old band. The recordings are rough and I wasn't too into the name. This wasn't meant to be an instrumental band, I had lyrics written but we never had a chance to record them. Some of these songs weren't even finished but I really enjoyed this and maybe you will too.

The Marine Electric
The Marine Electric are an indie/pop-punk band out of Brooklyn. This is pretty much Braid meets Hot Water Music. With that being said you should download this right now. Head West is the bands most recent effort but they are releasing a new demo fairly soon. They have a new song from said demo up on their myspace so be sure to check that out! They're going on tour soon so be sure to check their dates out and go to a show!

Dinomania
Sorry about not posting recently! Ross and I have been working on something and you should be very into it. I'll say some more about that another time though. This is Dinomania, they now go by the name Comfort Clouds and just released their first LP. Kevin from circling the drain told me about them. They're a two-piece out of Akron, Ohio...home of LeBron James. The player we had for previewing tracks is no longer available so until that's back I'll just post myspace links.

Chalk Talk (again!)
I went to a really great show tonight. Boys & Sex, Chalk Talk, The Marine Electric, Black Churches and Palmkite played. Such a great time. Chalk Talk is one of the funnest bands out there. They're on tour right now with Black Churches who are also a great band. Check out the tour dates here. This is a 4 song 7" or a 6 song cd...or an 8 song download? You'll love this if you have a soul.
